Application for scholarships and workshop grants
for the years 2024 and 2025


In the period from May 15 to July 31, 2023, visual artists, authors, composers, dance performers and curators from Germany, the countries bordering the Baltic Sea as well as from Norway, Iceland and Great Britain are invited to apply for working residencies for the years 2024 and 2025. These opportunities are part of the scholarship programme of the Künstlerhaus Lukas. The scholarships are endowed with 1000 euros per month, workshop stays with 500 euros plus event fee - subject to the annual budget confirmation by the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Awarded will be:
►one month residency grants
A total of 50 one-month work scholarships will be awarded for stays at the Künstlerhaus Lukas for the funding period.

►one month exchange scholarships
20 one-month work scholarships will be awarded for stays at the partner institutions of the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Northern Europe.

►environmental exchange scholarship
Four two-month environmental exchange scholarships will be awarded for stays at the Künstlerhaus Lukas and in the municipality of Vardř in Norway.

►two month grants for curators
Seven two-month working grants will be awarded to curators for stays at the Künstlerhaus Lukas, whose projects will be realized in the Neues Kunsthaus during the funding period.

►two week workshop grants
Four two-week workshop stays at the Künstlerhaus Lukas will be awarded to artist groups with up to five participants.
