DIALOGUE 12
Part 2 of the anniversary project

Curators – Asima Amriko in cooperation with Gerlinde Creutzburg
with works from Poline Harbali (Montreal/CA), Camille Lévêque & Anna Lounguine (Paris/FR), Pauline Stopp (Greifswald), Kathrin Ollroge (Berlin), Katrin Herrmann (Neubrandenburg), Jurga Užkurnytė (Kaunas/LT), Beate Maria Wörz (Berlin)

The exhibition THE FOURTH HOUSE brings together different artistic positions that deal with migration and flight-dominated family biographies. Questions about individual and collective memory, about the transgenerative transmission of (war) experiences and the connection between past and present are raised and discussed. The exhibition project opens a space for encounters that opposes demarcations: the private becomes public, the foreign familiar, the yesterday the modern. The artistic positions focus on personal experiences and life stories whose analogies and patterns combine the different positions.
