|Options for applying for scholarships at
the Künstlerhaus Lukas via partner institutions
In addition to directly applying for a scholarship at the Künstlerhaus
Lukas, the following options exist for applying for scholarships on the
Künstlerhaus Lukas program.
Exchange grant for artists from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern – travel
In cooperation with the Arts Commission of the Federal State of
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in order to provide special support for artists
from the state, up to six scholarships are awarded annually – in
particularly for the international exchange program run by the Künstlerhaus
Lukas. Applicants are selected by the Arts Commission of the Ministry
of Education, Science and Culture of the Federal State of
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Further information on applying:

Residency grant for artists from Saxony-Anhalt – guest
In cooperation with the Saxony-Anhalt Arts Foundation, up to three
scholarships in the fields of literature, the visual arts and
composition are funded in addition to the Künstlerhaus Lukas program.
Successful applicants are chosen by the jury of the Saxony-Anhalt Arts
Foundation in consultation with the Künstlerhaus Lukas management.
Scholarship applications are accepted by the ►Saxony-Anhalt
Arts Foundation. Artists from Saxony-Anhalt may also apply directly
to the Künstlerhaus Lukas.
Residency grant with exhibition – cooperation
In cooperation with the municipality and
spa administration of Ostseebad Wustrow, each year one scholarship is
funded in addition to the Künstlerhaus Lukas program in the field of
the visual arts. The scholarship comprises a one-month
work residency at the Künstlerhaus Lukas with an exhibition at Fischlandhaus Wustrow.
Applications can be submitted as part of the normal application process
at Künstlerhaus Lukas.
Screenplay scholarship – film residency
Together with FilmLand M-V gGmbH, each year one honorary scholarship and
one scholarship for young talent are awarded to promote screenplay
writing. This prize is presented annually by the Ministry of Education,
Science and Culture of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern at
Schwerin Film Festival. FilmLand M-V gGmbH, the company which receives
scholarship applications, is entitled to make proposals and has an

Scholarship for artistic student work – student
This scholarship honors the prizewinners of two student competitions run
by the training institutions for the artistic professions in
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and supports networking for the promotion of
particularly young artists from Northern Europe. This includes the first
prize in the student competition INSOMNALE organized by the University
of Greifswald’s Caspar David Friedrich Institute and the annual first
prize at the Faculty of Design at the Hochschule Wismar. It includes a
free one-month residency at the Künstlerhaus Lukas, funding for a
catalogue and participation in an exhibition at the Neues Kunsthaus. Successful applicants are chosen by juries at the partner institutions.
