Guidelines
The Künstlerhaus Lukas provides a space for artistic production and reflection. Stays at the Künstlerhaus are dedicated to concentrated work, as well as fostering exchange and networking among the scholarship recipients and guests of the house.
All studios are functionally equipped. Bed linens and towels are provided once free of charge. Studios should be regularly cleaned during the stay, and cleaning supplies are provided free of charge. The cleaning service, including fresh bed linens and towels, is available for 30 EUR (for small studios) or 40 EUR (for large double studios).
A studio in the basement with garden access is available for sculpture work. Wooden floors in the studios should be protected with coverings during painting projects.
Unfortunately, due to increasing allergies, pets cannot be brought along.
Short-term visitors of scholarship recipients can stay in the studio by prior arrangement. A utility cost flat rate, including bed linens and towels, of 20 EUR per night per person is charged. In cases involving scholarship recipients with children, special arrangements can be made on a case-by-case basis, by prior agreement.
The house features communicative meeting points, including a large common and event room on the ground floor, two communal kitchens, and two terraces. In the basement, you'll find a small printmaking workshop and a utility room with coin-operated washing machines. An e-piano with a silent function is available for all guests. Throughout the house, you'll find small, specialized libraries on art, literature, environmental topics, and publications from EDITION HOHES UFER AHRENSHOOP. The office of the Künstlerhaus team is located on the ground floor.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire house.
Renting Studios
At Künstlerhaus Lukas, depending on availability, studios can be rented for temporary stays. This offering is open to former scholarship recipients as well as individuals working in the field of art and culture.
